A Clinical Practice With an Eye on Research

Retina is a rapidly evolving field. This requires a community based physician to follow closely cutting edge research at the universities and laboratories world wide.

At Retina of Auburn & Metro-Columbus we not only judiciously consume the outcome of such research we also contribute to the knowledge pool. We do so by critiquing the data offered by FDA satisfying clinical trials of new drugs on the market, case reports of unusual disease patterns, treatment outcomes, new engineering and physiology based hypotheses, and analyses of existing data through papers at national and international meetings.

Local premedical and medical students typically participate in these research activities. Some examples of recent and past research are listed here.
